Balletbarre Certification
Balletbarre Students/Graduates
Are you interested in becoming a registered balletbarre teacher?
To be a certified balletbarre teacher there is a registration process and you are required to
Submit full application
Submit all qualifications and awards - for points allocation
30 points are needed for initial registration then renewal Bi-annually to stay registered at your approved balletbarre accredited registration level.
Interview
Class Demonstration of the highest level of your registration
Passing of teachers training certification course to level of desired qualification
All teachers require
-Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
-Current First Aid/CPR
-Current Mental Health First Aid Cert
in addition the following requirement for each teaching level.
There are 4 levels of Balletbarre certified teachers
Level 1 - able to teach Kindy and Pre-Primary
Passed Grade 4 balletbarre examination (BB) exam or equivalent
Cert II in Dance
Level 2 - able to teacher Kindy to Grade 1 (inc)
Passed Grade 6 balletbarre exam
Cert III in dance
Level 3 - able to teach Kindy to Grade 4 (inc)
Passed Advanced balletbarre exam
Cert III and IV Health and Fitness
Master Teacher - Master can teacher entire balletbarre syllabus
Balletbarre Graduate (partaken in Oliver Shield)
Cert IV in Dance (Teachers)
Cert IV Training & Assesment
Mental Health First Aid
Fellowship - Can teach all levels, and run their own balletbarre academy.
For each level there is requirements for teachers to come to Master workshops and refresher courses to accrue accreditation points to enable them to stay registered. This ensures that the balletbarre technique is kept unto date with latest trends/techniques/safe dance practices in the industry but also ensures all teachers are of the highest calibre.
Please note: no teachers are permitted to teach this syllabus with out being formally registered through Balletbarre Australia (Head Office).

So you would like to train in another method - CONGRATULATIONS in your pursuit of additional knowledge.
Re-trainees should have completed exams and teachers training in a recognised syllabus (RAD, Ceccetti, CSTD ect). Entrance to the Balletbarre teachers program is based on an application + interviews process (round 1), (round 2)consists of teachers training and assessments.
Places are limited.

Fees
Registration fees will be determined by local costs in Australia and includes program materials, tutoring and mentoring, assessments for each module, three visits by a Teaching Supervisor/Mentor and two Intensive Study Periods.
The fee is payable in 4 installments over 2 years.

Standard Application is by 1 September each year
